Much like Joel Pears was almost 20 years ago, Meridian senior Bryce Vandenhaak has shown time and time again the ability to make huge plays. And, when he caught his third touchdown pass in the first half he broke Rocki Sandusky’s 12-year old Whatcom County record for touchdown receptions in a season. Vandenhaak now has 18, and the season isn’t over. He will have the postseason to add to his record.
