Only three players in Whatcom County had over 200 yards in rushing, receiving and kickoff returns, and Neitling was one of them. It’s amazing that all of that happened, and his true specialty was on defense! Great speed and instincts as a safety, and he brings it on every tackle. Extremely shifty with the ball in his hands, it’s tough to get a good shot on him. If Austin O’Bryan gets moved to quarterback next year, Neitling should be the featured back. I expect a huge season out of him in 2018.
