Top 100 Players of 2017 – #36 – Nick Knutson

NICK KNUTSON

 Bellingham – Senior – #8

6’2” 185 lbs – QB

 134-of-205 passing – 1717 yards – 15 touchdowns

38 carries – (-66) yards – 1 touchdown

9 punts – 294 yards

Another one of my personal favorites. With so many great quarterbacks in the area, he seemed to get no love. The numbers were great. His 65.4% completion percentage led the entire county, and he only threw two interceptions in 205 pass attempts. A virtual coach on the field, he knew the offense inside and out. Holds every career school passing record that were once held by two-time All-State standout, Sean Linville. His 4471 career passing yards is good enough for 11th place in Whatcom County history. All ten quarterbacks ahead of him on the list were named either All-State 1st Team, or All-State 2nd Team at some point in their careers. Amazingly, Kuntson was never even named All-Confernce Honorable Mention during his career. One of the most underrated, and under appreciated, players of all-time. It was a joy to watch you play, Nippy-K.
